Heart Rate Monitor is exactly what one would expect from a heart rate monitor app. It makes it easy check your heart rate by placing your finger on the rear camera lens or aiming the front facing camera at your face from about 15-20 cm away. I used my finger on the rear camera primarily during my tests. I found this mode to be easier to use and it seemed to provide more consistent test results. It was also less awkward then staring at my face in the gym while waiting for my pulse to be taken.
One of the most boring new “features” in iOS 8 could end up being its most important one for your someday. It could save your life.
The only thing that works in the Health app right now is your Medical ID, which consists of fields for you to input your vital medical information for first responders (medical conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, blood type and more).
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to create your personal Medical ID.
Nude photos and videos of Kim Kardashian West, Jennifer Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Rihanna, Kate Bosworth, Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panitierre, Avril Lavigne, Kaley Cuoco and Hope Solo are being posted online, again. The hacker/hackers releasing the photos and videos must not be worried about getting caught by the feds.
Apple hyped its release of iOS 8 and touted its amazing new features. Unfortunately, we can’t use all of them. Steve Jobs would not be happy with Apple’s execution of its most recent product launches – other than the record breaking iPhone sales.
I picked up my new iPhone 6 last night from an Apple Store. Actually, my wife was kind enough to pick up my preordered iPhone for me because she works around the corner. She braved the hoards of Apple fans and waited in a 25 minute line to receive my iPhone 6. Thanks sweetie.
The iPhone 6 has met my expectations with more screen real estate and a much thinner body than my old model (iPhone 5). The iPhone 6 is a bit slippery though and feels like I can break it like a candy bar. A very expensive candy bar. I can’t wait to test out all its new features, and to use the new Health app (which currently suffers from bugs). I’d like to say I’m surprised that Apple’s launch was plagued by bugs, but I’m not. Hopefully Apple will release an update exterminating the bugs shortly. The Health app looks so sad right now.
It should come as no surprise that iOS users are complaining about iOS 8 gobbling up valuable storage space and taking forever to install. The substantial amount of storage place required and wait-times to download iOS 8 (and accompanying complaints) have happened with every iOS launch. Unfortunately, this is what happens when every Apple fan and their parents are downloading Apple’s newest iOS to experience Apple’s newest features (except HealthKit – for now). I plan on installing iOS 8 later tonight, and will be picking up my iPhone 6 from the store tomorrow (hopefully).
