Bendgate! Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus Bending in User Pockets.

Apple just can’t catch a break…. or can it. The Wall Street Journal and other news sources are reporting nine complaints relating to Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bending in users pockets.

Apple’s most recent issue plaguing its new product launch has been dubbed #bendgate – and adds another issue to those already impacting the iPhone 6’s launch.

The number of iPhones that bent is infinitesimal (nine iPhones) compared with the number of iPhones in consumers pockets (millions of iPhones). I would not worry too much about becoming a victim of #bendgate. However, I would still be careful about sitting on your new iPhone 6 lest you become the latest victim.

CelebGate Continues…More Celeb Photos Released Online

Good news on the privacy and security front! International Business Times reports that Apple’s strict rules for developers keeps your health data off of iCloud. A good idea in light of the past iCloud hacking fiasco.

iPhone Users Fume Over iOS 8 Download

iPhone Users Fume Over iOS 8 Download, Say Apple’s New Operating System Eats Storage Space, Takes Too Long to Install by NYDailyNews.com

It should come as no surprise that iOS users are complaining about iOS 8 gobbling up valuable storage space and taking forever to install. The substantial amount of storage place required and wait-times to download iOS 8 (and accompanying complaints) have happened with every iOS launch. Unfortunately, this is what happens when every Apple fan and their parents are downloading Apple’s newest iOS to experience Apple’s newest features (except HealthKit – for now). I plan on installing iOS 8 later tonight, and will be picking up my iPhone 6 from the store tomorrow (hopefully).

Apple’s HealthKit Suffering from “Bugs”

It seems that Apple’s iPhone launches have consistently been plagued by issues — Anntennagate and Mapgate to name just a couple.  While at this point it shouldn’t, it surprises me that Apple’s issues always relate to the core functionality of the iPhone or Apple’s “next big thing” or app. You would think that after past issues arising that Apple would work extra hard to ensure that its new product is sure to work as advertised. Well, think again. Most recently, Apple’s new iOS 8 and HealthKit (released for download today) is fittingly suffering from bugs that are delaying the release of third-party apps.
